Ceylon Black Tea

Ceylon Black Tea

September 24, 2019 / 588

Black tea is the most consumed type of tea in the world. In general, tea is the second most consumed drink in the world, after water. Black tea is made from the same leaf as green tea.

There is a good reason why black tea prevails over other types of tea. Did you know that although all varieties of tea are made from the leaves of one plant, Camellia sinensis, black tea contains more caffeine and has a stronger flavor than other varieties, such as green and white tea, which can be stored for many years.

Black leaf tea is the most popular type of tea in Western countries, accounting for over 90% of sales. Although green tea has gained popularity in recent years as more healthy, black tea also has many beneficial properties.
